About us

Abad Controls, S.L. is a family-owned company, founded in Barcelona on 1986, and dedicated to the manufacture and trade of industrial instrumentation.

The main activity of the firm is the measure and control of pressure, temperature, flow and level. We are specially focused on pressure gauges (low pressure, diaphragm seals, electric devices, etc...), pressure transmitters, thermometers, temperature sensors, flowmeters, level switches, electronic register of variables, etc.

Besides a large number of items in stock in our warehouse, we count on a workshop to carry out special executions and also a full equipped laboratory, which allow us to offer pressure and temperature calibration service, always with the correspondent traceability to official laboratories. Our firm was certified according the ISO9001:2000 Norms on 2001.

A bit of history

The founder of the firm was Francesc Abad Pla. He worked for several firms in Barcelona, some of them already disappeared (Bourdon Española, Martin Marten, Faust y Kamman, Moser y Rosell, Valls Isard, ...) before establishing on his own, first as Coronado-Abad, S.A. and finally as Abad Controls, S.L., on Igualada Street, in the Gràcia district.

Together with Francesc worked his sons Xavier, Jordi and his daughter Esther. After Francesc passed away in 1994, their sons took over. In 2001 Esther leaves the company.

In 2008 we moved to our present facilities in Bon Pastor district in Barcelona.
